Allison Dawson is the vice president for institutional advancement. In this role, she oversees alumni engagement and fundraising initiatives in support of the College’s mission. The departments under her supervision include Advancement Communications and Events, Advancement Services, Alumni Relations, and Development.
Dawson has 18 years of experience in private and public higher education leadership fundraising and advancement roles in which she has designed, launched, and executed multimillion-dollar fundraising campaigns. Prior to her arrival at Emerson, she served as the chief development officer for the Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin. During her tenure, she successfully launched and completed Moody’s $165 million campaign. She also previously served as the vice president for institutional advancement at Austin College, where she planned and launched a $125 million comprehensive campaign.
