Christie Anglade is the vice president of student affairs. She provides leadership for a diverse range of student-focused departments, all aimed at supporting student growth and well-being. Her portfolio consists of Athletics, Career Development Center, Center for Spiritual Life, Community Standards, Emerson Wellness Center (comprising counseling services and health services), Housing and Residential Education, Intercultural Student Affairs, Student Accessibility Services, Student Care and Support, Student Engagement and Leadership, and Student Transitions and Family Programs. She works closely with executive leadership and campus partners to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, advance equity-driven initiatives, and enhance student engagement across all of Emerson’s campuses.
Previously, Anglade served as associate dean for campus life, overseeing Housing and Residential Education, Community Standards, and Student Engagement and Leadership. She joined the College in 2019 as the director for housing and residential education. Prior to Emerson, she worked in campus life and student affairs roles at Bentley University, Boston College, Michigan State University, and the University of New Haven.
She has been an active leader in the field of student affairs, serving on the host and planning team for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators’ Small Colleges and Universities Institute for Vice Presidents in 2022 and the National Housing Training Institute in 2016, presenting at regional and national conferences, and developing curricula for professional institutes and conferences.
Anglade holds an MEd in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of South Carolina and a BA in psychology from Western New England University. She is also a Certified Human Resources Specialist.
