Rob Stegman

With nearly forty years of experience in broadcast, feature documentaries, cable, educational, and corporate media, Rob Stegman has won a reputation for creative award-winning results. His clients have come to count on Rob for inventive, highly organized executions that yield results.

Mr. Stegman brings a wide-ranging skill set to his productions.  Equally at home managing complex logistics, or finding just the right creative twist to make a story special, Stegman’s ability to find the right solution to every challenge is unmatched.  His work has been seen on the History Channel, Public Broadcasting and Discovery, before large audiences at sales meetings, small ones at trade shows, and on DVD in living rooms around the country.  Trained as a producer of documentaries and public affairs programs, Stegman always searches for the human element within a story that makes it resonate with audiences.

During the course of his career, Mr. Stegman has been honored with a number of awards. The 2011 film, For the Love of the Music: the Club 47 Folk Revival that he co-directed was honored with, among other awards, the “Best Indie Spec Documentary” at the 2012 Boston International Film Festival.  Make Way For Menino, a political spot produced for the 2005 Boston mayoral race, was the recipient of both Communicator and Aurora Awards.  His production, Firefighter Safety in the Wildland/Urban Interface received a 2003 Communicator Award of Distinction. As a developer of Know TV, a media literacy curriculum for Time Warner and The Learning Channel, Rob captured the Golden CableAce Award. And Stegman garnered two Emmy Awards for his work at ABC affiliate WCVB-TV.

As Director of Operations for Editel/Boston and subsequently The DI Group, Rob controlled all post-production services leading a large editing and client-service team. CBS Sports, WGBH (PBS), NBA Entertainment, The Discovery Channel, Time Life Television, and NBC are a few of the accounts who came to rely on Rob’s detail-oriented style of effective management and record of proven results.

In recent years Mr. Stegman has served on as Adjunct Faculty at Boston University and Emerson College teaching producing motion pictures. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in broadcasting and a minor in U.S. history.
