Bill Curley begins his fourth season at Emerson, with the 2014-2015 season serving as Curley's first season serving as the Head Coach of Emerson Men's Basketball. In his first three years, Curley served as the Associate Head Coach with Jim O'Brien leading the Lions to immense success including wins over the No. 1-ranked and returning NCAA Champion, Amherst and over No. 3 WPI in the 2013-2014 season.
Bill was an outstanding player at Duxbury, HS where, as a senior he was recognized as one of the nation's premier players by being selected to the prestigious McDonald's All-American Team in 1990.
Opting to play for former Emerson Coach Jim O'Brien at Boston College, Curley continued his illustrious career by being named Big East Conference Rookie of the Year as a first-year student and All Big East First Team in both his junior and senior years. His college career was culminated by leading BC to the NCAA Elite Eight highlighted by consecutive wins over North Carolina (Dean Smith) and Indiana (Bob Knight) in 1994.
Upon graduating from BC Bill was drafted in the first round by the NBA's San Antonio Spurs and then went on to have a seven year pro career.
Bill continues to run and operate his very succesful Bill Curley Basketball Clinics on the South Shore. Bill, his wife Kim and children Jack (14), Caroline (12) and Andrew (8) live in Duxbury.
