Announcement

The Emerson College School of Communication (SOC) announces today the launch of its “Campus on the Common” podcast, offering thought leadership and unique perspectives from academic experts and industry leaders from within the College and beyond. The inaugural episode is part one of three segments on “Reclaiming Conversation” – which was a theme for the School this year focusing on communication beyond digital interaction. The first episode features SOC Dean Raul Reis.

“’Campus on the Common’ provides the School of Communication with the opportunity to share the insights and work of faculty members outside of the classroom and in a broader context as we discuss best practices, emerging industry trends, and much more,” said SOC Dean Raul Reis.

The podcast explores topics such as multimedia storytelling, media ethics, and how new technologies are affecting the communication industry. You can find “Campus on the Common” on SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher and wherever you get your podcasts. The podcast is produced and hosted by affiliated faculty member and alum Mark Brodie, who teaches multimedia storytelling at Emerson.

A national leader for cutting-edge research and education, Emerson College’s School of Communication curriculum offers hands-on programs in journalism, marketing, communication disorders, public relations, and sports communication, among others, preparing students to thrive in the classroom and in their careers.
