Each academic year, Emerson Stage strives to present a diverse body of work to suit the educational needs of a wide variety of degree programs. The Emerson Stage Season Selection Committee works each year to discuss the upcoming season, and is inclusive of Performing Arts student representatives, faculty, and staff.
This season will explore the stories that lie in the unseen: what happens behind the scenes, in the wings of the theatre, in the offices behind closed doors, inside the minds of our most beloved inanimate objects, on the other side of tangible and intangible walls. We’ll present four plays, two musicals, and a three-part new works festival designed to offer Emerson College performing arts students hundreds of opportunities to develop as artists. Working alongside distinguished faculty, professional staff, and guest artists, Emerson Stage showcases the next generation of theatre makers, educators, managers, and administrators as they prepare to take the stage as the future of the art-form and industry.
