ECSI
ECSI is a third-party servicer that Emerson College has partnered with to service Perkins Loans, bill outstanding tuition accounts, and generate student 1098-T tax documents. Depending on the nature of your account with ECSI, you will receive communications from them with regard to the following:
Perkins Loans
If you have been awarded a Perkins Loan you will be prompted to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Interview through the ECSI website. ECSI will send you annual account notifications regarding your loan and its status throughout your time at Emerson. Once you cease to be enrolled at least half-time, you will receive notification that you are required to complete a Perkins Loan Exit Interview, which is also completed through the ECSI website. More information can be found at the Perkins Loan website.
Collections
If you leave Emerson College with a delinquent balance due on your student account, it will be uploaded to ECSI for billing and collection purposes. More information on the collections process, the agencies involved, and the impact it has to your account and credit report can be found at Past Due Tuition & Accounts.
1098-T
ECSI generates Emerson’s 1098-T statements each January for students who submitted qualifying payments due the prior tax year. A 1098-T will be mailed to the permanent address on file with Emerson College, and PDF copies can be reprinted through the ECSI website. More information on the 1098-T document and how your total was calculated can be found at Tax Information.
