Across industries, and in the world of work, organizations have started to invest in creating work environments that not only celebrate diversity, but retain and develop the diverse talent that allows a business to be innovative, and ultimately succeed. Below are examples of the diversity statements organizations use that reflect their efforts, and in some cases, the purpose of the organization. These provide examples of how they communicate values around what is now commonly known as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). It’s important to review these carefully and use our career and intercultural awareness interview guide to generate 1–2 questions about a company’s efforts to create diverse and equitable spaces.
