Clinical Clearance Reqs
A Clinical Clearances hold is added to a Speech@Emerson student's account if the student is out of compliance with required clearances for in-person events including on-campus coursework (Immersion) and participation in community practica (CD612, CD613, CD614, and CD615). The Department of Education requires that all borrowers who graduate, drop below half-time status, take a leave of absence, or withdraw from an institution from which they received one of these loans, must complete a Direct Loan Exit Counseling via studentaid.gov/exit-counseling. This hold will be removed approximately three to five days after completion. Readmission Hold
You are on a Health Leave of Absence, and are required to submit Health Readiness to Return documentation to studentsuccess [at] emerson.edu (studentsuccess[at]emerson[dot]edu) for the Health Leave of Absence Committee to review before you can be readmitted to the college. This review can take up to two weeks. Please note that there is an option to mail in this documentation, but email is the fastest way to get them to the committee for review. If you mail your documentation, please allow an additional two weeks for review.

A SEVIS hold is typically given to new international students in F-1 visa status prior to the beginning of their first semester on campus. The hold is removed as soon as students complete their SEVIS check in with the Office of International Student Affairs (OISA).
