In 2012, Emerson administrators, students, faculty, alumni, and staff gathered with Los Angeles officials to break ground for the College’s new Hollywood facility. Two years later on a warm, sunny LA day in January, the new building opened its doors to students.

What’s Inside—and Out
The building, which serves as a self-contained campus, is truly unlike any other. The sustainable 10-story structure, located in central Hollywood’s historic studio district, is able to house 217 students in suite-style housing.
Students will have plenty of photo opportunities to use the Hollywood sign as a backdrop from several vantage points both in and outside of the building.
Those spending a semester at ELA will benefit from the facility’s computer labs, study areas, a fitness facility, a laundry room, a common kitchen, suite-style housing, and a lounge area with large screen TVs. There is also underground parking, retail space on street level, an expansive outdoor terrace, audio post-production rooms, a long-distance learning center, staff offices, a multipurpose event space, and an executive screening room. Finally, security guards are on hand to keep students safe 24/7.
