Co-writing & Coffee

Mondays 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. ET

The Emerson College Research HUB at Emerson College will be offering space and time once a week for co-writing with peers, with coffee and snacks, on Mondays in the 6th Floor of the Walker Building 639. Sit with colleagues for concentrated time for writing, and for peer support and motivation!

On the first Monday of each month, we'll welcome CITL conversations from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in support of accelerating faculty.

These sessions will allow us to briefly share what we're working on, grab something to drink and snack on, and to find space and time to write in a generative space! Please share with your communities and all Emerson community members are welcome to join!

“First Tuesdays” Research Community Luncheon

First Tuesday, Monthly, 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. ET

On the First Tuesday of each month, the HUB will host a common hour lunch and curated time for faculty to have discussions about research projects, new ideas, potential collaborations, and more. Some lunches will have a curated agenda ahead of time, while others will be left open for informal networking, idea generation, and general connections around research activity.

Food and conversation. Networking and collaboration. Ideas and visions. Come to learn about colleagues' work, engage in discussions about what’s possible at Emerson!

NCFDD Faculty Development Program

The Emerson College Research Hub is excited to offer faculty the opportunity to partner with the National Council for Faculty Development & Diversity, an organization that supports holistic faculty development in research and teaching, through workshops, bootcamps, webinars, and other support structures. Faculty can be paired up with writing partners, engage in workshops about time management, work-life balance, managing classrooms, and beyond. Faculty interested in participating in this opportunity should reach out to researchhub [at] emerson.edu (researchhub[at]emerson[dot]edu).

Writing Retreats

Fall Writing Retreat

Spring Writing Retreat

At the end of the academic year, Emerson College will offer faculty a fully funded multiple-day writing retreat, set in rural New England. This retreat will offer the chance for faculty to write, engage in concentrated writing time, set in nature, amongst colleagues, over shared meals. Optional programming will be offered. Space is limited for this opportunity. Look out for a call for faculty interest in the spring semester.
