Each year, Emerson College recognizes the outstanding efforts of our student employees by holding an appreciation party coinciding with National Student Employment Week (the second full week of April). We also honor those students who have made exceptional contributions to their departments by awarding one Student Employee of the Year Award.
A call for nominations is sent out to all on-campus and not-for-profit supervisors asking them to nominate a student in their department who has gone beyond the call of duty. Nominations are submitted to the Student Employment Coordinator, who then picks an independent committee composed of supervisors from departments who did not nominate any students during that academic year. The committee evaluates all nominees and determines the award recipient.
The Student Employee of the Year is recognized at the Student Employee Appreciation Party, where all nominees are honored.
